What are SEOs?

SEO means “optimization for search engines.” It is a way to make a website work better for search engines. It helps websites get a higher ranking in search engine results when people look for keywords related to their products and services. So, it is the process of getting more and better visitors to a website through natural search engine results. See the image below to learn about the basic things that go into SEO.

What does SEO mean?

The results of a search are shown as a list, and the sites that are higher up on the list tend to get more traffic. For example, for a given search query, the number one result will get 40–60% of all the traffic that query brings in. Only 2% to 3% of people who do a search go past the first page of results.

How SEO (optimization for search engines) works:

Search engines like Google use their own rules or algorithms to decide which pages to show in response to a search query. Based on different ranking factors, these algorithms decide how the SERPs are ordered. But it puts more weight on some metrics than others when deciding how good a page is and, in turn, how it should be ranked.

Key Measurements Search Engines Use:

Links:

Backlinks are the links from other sites. These links help figure out where a site ranks in SERPs. A link from another site is seen as a vote of confidence in its quality, since a site owner wouldn’t link to a bad site.

Content:

The quality of a site’s content is also a very important factor in how it ranks. The content should be original and relevant to the search query that was given.

Page Structure:

HTML is used to write web pages. Search engines also look at a page’s HTML code to figure out how good it is. So put important keywords in the title, URL, and other meta tags, and make sure the site can be crawled.
